Before diving into pregnancy concerns, it’s important to acknowledge that you are the expert of your life. No one knows your story like you do, nor do they understand what you’re capable of or destined for. That said, here are some concerns you may have when it comes to unexpected pregnancy.
Some SURVIVORS may worry the pregnancy will jeopardize their hard-won progress and chance at success. As a SURVIVOR, you didn’t enter the world with much, so you’ve learned to maximize every opportunity and hustle hard for your goals. What if this pregnancy slows you down—or worse, gets in the way of your dreams?
As a SURVIVOR, you may also have concerns about the general lack of stability in your life. Perhaps you’ve had people stereotype you or put limits on you due to your circumstances. You know you’re capable of great things, but even so, you know your situation isn’t ideal. Will you be able to create a good future for yourself and this pregnancy?
SURVIVORS may also worry about who they can depend on moving forward. Your support system may be lacking due to physical distance, relational tension, or even generational brokenness. Where others may look to friends or family for support, you’ve learned to depend solely on yourself. What if this pregnancy proves too much for you to handle on your own? Will you have the support you need to make it work?
